The Role

Reporting into a Senior Manager in the Advisory Services team, the Senior Consultant will lead the delivery across a number of consulting projects, including market strategy, market sizing, acquisitions scans, commercial due diligence, thought leadership and vendor selection. The role requires demonstrable skills in building market size and forecast models.

Responsibilities

  • Take immediate ownership of projects, identifying and driving project activities and formulating the end solution and recommendations for clients.
  • Lead small and medium size projects with two to three direct reports.
  • Contribute to larger complex projects as part of the core delivery team, reporting into the project lead.
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Deliver high-quality deliverables that promote repeat business.
  • Anticipate, mitigate and communicate project risks.
  • Interface with client leads and become a trusted advisor.
  • Interview senior executives.
  • Define, lead or conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support project recommendations.
  • Drive advisory capability development.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and work with sales colleagues to win business.
  • Coach and lead junior colleagues on advisory projects.

Qualifications

  • At least four years’ experience delivering consulting engagements.
  • Educated to at least BA/BSc level; a relevant MSc is desirable.
  • Experience working with international teams in different time zones.
  • Demonstrable skills in building market size and forecast models.
  • Track record of producing top-quality advisory deliverables and outcomes for commercial clients.
  • Proven ability to present in workshops with senior executives.
  • Experience interviewing senior executives via video calls to collect business insights.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Experience managing small project teams.
  • High ethical standards.
  • Excellent client interaction, collaborative work style, and strong team skills.
  • Accountability for results.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • Quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to identify key issues, analyse data and make recommendations.
  • Brings analytical rigour to complex, ambiguous problems, with sound judgement on responsible AI‑assistance.
  • Perfect written and fluent spoken English.
  • Preferably strategy consulting experience (market segmentation, market sizing, buyer analysis, competitor analysis) with a technology focus.
  • Knowledge of Verdantix advisory capabilities.
  • Benefit from knowledge across areas such as building management technologies, industrial operations technology, power grid technologies, EHS, sustainability or risk management software.

Salary & Benefits

Salary opportunity is £58,000‑£63,000 depending on experience level, plus a very competitive quarterly bonus scheme. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in the office during the probationary period, reducing to 2 days upon successful completion.
