Overview
Verdantix’s mission is to deliver independent, accurate, and actionable research and advisory services. We empower the world’s most innovative corporations, technology and services vendors, and investors with granular insights and data-driven analysis. Our team is a curious, collaborative group of expert analysts, consultants, data engineers, commercial specialists, creative professionals, and thought leaders working together to help clients achieve their most important goals.
The role
We are looking for a driven, intellectually rigorous individual to join our Advisory Services practice at Consultant level. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing international team of strategy, digital and transaction experts, who are striving to be the global go-to advisor in B2B software, tech-enabled services and AI.
The Consultant will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact engagements across our Advisory Services practice. At the core of this role is best-in-class market analysis and intelligence – the ability to rapidly build traceable, defensible market models, competitive benchmarks and customer references that directly shape client strategy. Consultants take immediate ownership of engagement workstreams, driving analysis, shaping solutions and contributing to actionable client recommendations, typically working under an engagement manager or lead. Engagements range from focused two-week diligence sprints to year-long strategic programmes. Across all of them, Consultants are expected to champion delivery excellence: rigorous quality management, proactive risk communication and trusted client relationships. Salary opportunity is £45,000-£47,000 depending on experience level, plus a very competitive quarterly bonus scheme. This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days a week in the office during probationary period, and will decrease to 2 days upon successful completion.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Market modelling – Design and build quantitative models (TAM, SAM, Vended Market, Market Forecasts, Liquid Opportunity) with detailed underlying assumptions – a core deliverable across the majority of engagements
- Vendor analysis – Perform market landscape and competitor analyses to inform client positioning, including detailed assessment of functional, technical and commercial capabilities of key market players
- Research – Lead primary research programmes tailored to varied stakeholder groups including survey design, executive interviews and structured voice-of-customer exercises, while triangulating findings against proprietary Verdantix data, curated third-party sources and broader desktop research
- Synthesis and communication – Translate complex analysis into structured, top-down, answer-first narratives, both in written deliverables and in direct presentations to senior internal and client stakeholders, building trusted adviser relationships
- AI – Actively embed AI tools, including proprietary Verdantix platforms and licensed third-party solutions into research and analytical workflows to enhance speed, depth and quality of output
- Commercial development – Driven by strong commercial acumen, identify and surface commercial growth opportunities within active client relationships, contributing to account development alongside the engagement lead
- Thought leadership – Contribute to thought leadership and represent Verdantix at UK and international conferences

- Stellar communication skills – Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
- Advanced tooling proficiency – Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and add-ons (Thinkcell); advanced Excel skills are expected; familiarity, curiosity and openness about AI and how such tools are used in a professional services or advisory context
