The role involves joining our Advisory Services practice as a Consultant, part of a rapidly growing international team focused on B2B software, tech-enabled services, and AI. The Consultant will have immediate ownership of engagement workstreams, driving analysis, shaping solutions, and delivering actionable client recommendations. Engagements range from focused two-week diligence sprints to year-long strategic programmes.
Salary: £45,000-£47,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a competitive quarterly bonus scheme. This is a hybrid role requiring presence in the office 3 days a week during probation, then 2 days thereafter.
What You'll Be Doing
- Market modelling – Design and build quantitative models (TAM, SAM, Vended Market, Market Forecasts, Liquid Opportunity) with detailed underlying assumptions.
- Vendor analysis – Perform market landscape and competitor analyses to inform client positioning and assess key market players.
- Research – Lead primary research programmes, including survey design, executive interviews, and structured voice-of-customer exercises.
- Synthesis and communication – Translate complex analysis into structured, answer-first narratives for written deliverables and senior client presentations.
- AI integration – Embed AI tools into research and analytical workflows to enhance speed, depth, and quality of output.
- Commercial development – Identify and surface commercial growth opportunities within active client relationships.
- Thought leadership – Contribute to thought leadership and represent Verdantix at conferences.
Essential
- Consulting experience – Minimum two years in a client-facing consulting role, ideally at a top-tier or boutique strategy firm.
- Comprehensive modelling skills – Demonstrable strength in market modelling, building and interrogating complex models from scratch.
- Stellar communication skills – Exceptional written and verbal English communication.
- Advanced tooling proficiency – Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and add-ons such as Thinkcell; advanced Excel skills required.
- Education – BA/BSc level; a relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., MSc, PhD) is desirable.
- Professionalism – High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Rigour-first AI usage – Integrate AI tooling into research workflows without substituting independent analytical thinking.
