An exciting, UK green energy business is seeking a Sales Manager, based in North East England, with options for hybrid and remote (UK only) working. Reporting into the Chief Sales Officer, you will drive sales growth in your vertical, generating new business, qualifying leads, maximising accounts, and ensuring long-term client relationships. You will be selling a unique product that replaces diesel generators with a zero emissions, renewable energy alternative, into sectors such as construction, energy, data centres, public sector, events, and entertainment.

Duties include:
- Business development, securing new clients and maximising opportunities with existing clients, closing new deals and upselling relationships.
- Responsibility for delivering your sales targets.
- Building successful relationships across the business, maximising cohesion ensuring clients receive excellent customer service.
- Negotiate and close high value strategic contracts.
- Attend client sites, industry events, trade shows and stay up to date on industry trends.
Candidates MUST have:
- Successful track record in a B2B sales role, generating your own new business as well as maximising key account revenue, ideally in the energy, power generation, renewable energy, climate technology or equipment hire sectors.
- Experience selling a technical product solution, with the ability to understand and/or gain the knowledge needed to successfully sell the product.
- Demonstrable experience of hitting your sales targets and successfully growing your revenue YoY.
- Proven track record of selling products within a lengthy or complicated decision-making process.
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills, adept in controlling the sales process, liaising with senior stakeholders and managing large deals.
Desirable are:
- Sales experience with gas, fuel cell, climate technology or hydrogen.
- Experience working in a fast-growing business and supporting its scale.
The successful candidate will join an extremely exciting, award-winning business that has significant investment and is experiencing rapid growth. You will receive a competitive basic salary based on experience, uncapped commission with an OTE of c£100,000, 8% pension, plus a broad range of extra benefits.
