An exciting, zero emissions, UK Energy business is seeking a Chief Sales Officer (CSO), based in Northeast England, with options for hybrid and flexible working. Reporting into the CEO, you will drive growth, further develop their sales strategy, lead and grow the sales team, and report on progress to the board.

Duties include:

  • Implementing and evolving their sales strategy processes.
  • Leading business development, securing new clients, and maximising opportunities with existing clients.
  • Responsibility for delivering their sales targets.
  • Building successful relationships across the business, maximising cohesion ensuring clients receive excellent customer service.
  • Reporting monthly KPIs to the CEO.
  • Managing, supporting, monitoring, and growing the sales function, ensuring the team are motivated and successful.

Candidates MUST have:

  • Proven track record in a sales leadership role, both in a business development and a people management capacity.
  • Experience selling B2B solutions in the energy sector, ideally in the renewable energy space.
  • Demonstrable experience of hitting your sales targets and successfully growing sales teams.
  • Proven track record of selling products within a lengthy and complicated decision-making process.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills, adept in controlling the sales process, liaising with senior stakeholders and managing multi million pound deals.

Desirable are:

  • Sales experience with gas, fuel cell, climate technology or hydrogen.
  • Experience working in a fast growing business, growing a sales team and supporting it scale.

You will receive a highly competitive basic salary based on experience, uncapped commission, up to 25% bonus and 8% pension, plus a broad range of extra benefits.
