My client is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Landscape Planner to join their established and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or recently qualified chartered Landscape Planner to contribute to a wide range of exciting projects across the UK, working within sectors such as infrastructure, residential, energy, and commercial developments. This role would suit a Landscape Planner with a creative approach to design, strong technical ability, and a keen interest in environmental and landscape planning.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of Landscape Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs) and Landscape and Visual Appraisals (LVAs)
  • Contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and landscape design strategies
  • Support senior team members with the production of landscape planning documents and reports
  • Undertake site visits and landscape character assessments
  • Liaise confidently with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Assist with the preparation of illustrative material including landscape masterplans, visualisations, and supporting planning graphics
  • Keep up to date with UK planning policy and environmental legislation relevant to landscape planning

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Planning, or a related field
  • Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (or working towards chartership)
  • Demonstrable experience in landscape planning, ideally within a consultancy or multi-disciplinary environment
  • A strong understanding of landscape and visual assessment methodology
  • Good working knowledge of relevant UK planning frameworks and environmental legislation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear and concise reports
  • Proficiency in design and analysis software, including:
  • Revit software
  • GIS software
  • AutoCAD
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • A keen eye for detail and high-quality graphical presentation
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
