Your responsibilities include:
- Leading external communications and reputation management for Verda in the UK.
- Shaping Verda's communications strategy in one of its key markets and the company's external narrative.
- Working on media relations, executive visibility, announcements, and crisis communications.
- Building trusted relationships with Verda's external stakeholders.
- Collaborating closely with Government Relations, Marketing, Operations and our wider Communications team.
- Monitoring coverage and industry conversation to spot opportunities and risks.
You will work as part of our Global Communications team and report to our Head of Communications.
Your key competencies include:
- 7+ years of experience in external communications, reputation management, media relations, corporate communications, or a related field.
- Track record of building impactful communications strategies.
- Ability to navigate complex technological, political and business topics and to build clear messaging that positions Verda in relevant conversations.
- Experience working with media and journalists in the UK market and building trusted relationships.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
Nice to have:
- Experience in a technology, cloud, AI, SaaS, or scale-up environment.
- Experience building communications strategies and navigating complex issues.
- Experience supporting executive and leadership communications.
