Vercity are looking to recruit a final stage / newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Junior Management Accountant to join the team in a newly created role
Vercity are recruiting a Junior Management Accountant to join our team providing financial support across a portfolio of PE-backed, UK infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Financial Controller the role plays a key part in delivering accurate management accounts across a portfolio of key projects, UK wide.
What you’ll be doing
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, with review and support from your Line Manager.
- Support the maintenance of strong financial controls, governance and compliance across the portfolio.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts, tax calculations and VAT returns, and assist with audit requirements.
- Support with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities, working closely with your Line Manager and project teams.
- Manage financial records, payments, banking and corporate documentation.
- Develop effective relationships with project teams and stakeholders, building commercial awareness and business partnering capability.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance systems, processes and controls.
- Support ad hoc finance projects and business initiatives
About you
- Either a final-stage studier or newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
- Strong technical accounting and reporting experience, with strong systems skills.
- Able to communicate and present confidently at all levels.
- Experience within infrastructure or asset management is beneficial but not essential. Strong management accounting experience and the right approach to working collaboratively are equally important.
