We're looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead the planning and delivery of a high‑profile annual lifecycle programme for a major building asset within a secure MOD environment. Reporting to the Asset Manager, you'll take full ownership of multiple facilities, building and M&E projects — ensuring they're delivered on time, on budget, and to exacting standards.
What you'll be doing:

- Managing risks, change control, governance and reporting in line with PFI obligations
- Coordinating contractors, consultants and wider project teams
- Leading technical input into variations, costings and impact assessments
- Chairing project boards, progress reviews and stakeholder meetings
- Ensuring compliance across H&S, CDM 2015, sustainability, quality and security
- Supporting long‑term asset and lifecycle planning, including ISO 55001 objectives
What we're looking for:
- Proven project/programme asset (facilities) management experience in complex, high‑security or mission‑critical environments
- Strong technical understanding of M&E systems with no single point of failure
- Confident communicator who can lead teams, challenge constructively and influence outcomes
- Comfortable running multiple workstreams under pressure, with tight governance and reporting
Nice to have:
- Defence, healthcare or PFI experience
- Hard FM / estates or lifecycle planning background
- Project or Programme Management qualifications
- Working towards or holding Chartered Engineer status
Essential:
- Relevant Mechanical or Electrical engineering background (or equivalent experience)
- Eligible for DV & STRAP security clearance
- Flexible approach to working hours when projects demand it
