We're looking for a Commercial Manager from a construction / FM QS background to support all aspects of commercial management and advice on a 2-site, health PFI where we are the independent advisor between the Shareholders, Trust Board and FM contractor. This is a high-impact role at the heart of commercial decision-making and is ideal for someone who thrives in operational environments and understands the nuances of Project Agreements, FM, and risk management.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the General Manager and become the key commercial contact for the SPV
- Deal with the full range of commercial elements including pre-construction, disputes, defects, and settlements
- Manage variations end-to-end (including financial model inputs)
- Advise on additional works & reactive maintenance procurement
- Support dispute resolution and contractual positions
- Drive service provider performance
- Ensure contractual compliance and risk mitigation
- Partner with Project Boards & SPV leadership teams
- Embed best practice across contracts and stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management
- Proven experience in PFI / PPP projects
- Solid understanding of Project Agreements & payment mechanisms
- Experience across FM, lifecycle, and subcontract management
- Commercially astute with excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Confident operating at senior level with investors, clients and contractors
The role is hybrid - averaging approximately 2 days per week on site in West Yorkshire and can also use our office network in Leeds and/or Manchester.
