We are on the lookout for a sharp, detail-driven Senior Market & Competitor Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will become our go-to expert on market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry shifts across B2B Accounting & Financial Management, ERP, HCM, and Payroll software sectors. Your insights will directly influence strategic decisions in product development, sales, marketing, and executive leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Lead in-depth market analysis - tracking trends, sizing, growth forecasts, and new opportunities across core and adjacent segments.
- Monitor publications, analyst reports, regulations, and emerging technologies to stay ahead of industry developments.
- Map market-share dynamics, positioning trends, and go-to-market tactics across our competitive landscape.
- Build and maintain detailed profiles of both established and emerging rivals, tracking their positioning, partnerships, product releases, acquisitions, and strategic moves.
- Deliver insights through impactful dashboards, briefings, and reports to inform product, sales, marketing, and leadership decisions.
- Present intelligence at strategic meetings and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
What are we looking for?
- A degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or business analysis - ideally within B2B software, SaaS, or enterprise tech.
- Exposure to accounting, HR, or ERP software is a real plus.
- Strong technical skills - advanced Excel and PowerPoint, confidence with market research platforms, and familiarity with data-visualisation tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Understanding of SaaS business models and the broader enterprise software ecosystem.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to distil complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for market dynamics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, highly organised, and consistently meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
