We’re partnering with a fast-growing global organisation seeking a strategic and relationship-led Key Account Director to manage and expand a portfolio of high-value pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, and clinical healthcare accounts across the UK, EMEA, or globally.

This is a highly visible role focused on developing long-term strategic partnerships with some of the industry’s most recognised pharmaceutical organisations, while also identifying and securing new business opportunities within existing and target accounts.

Why this opportunity? This organisation has an established global footprint and is continuing to scale rapidly within the clinical healthcare and life sciences sector. As Key Account Director, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and growing key strategic relationships across complex international accounts. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across pharma, biotech, CROs, and clinical supply organisations, acting as a trusted commercial partner and driving sustainable revenue growth across multiple regions. This role offers significant autonomy, visibility, and long-term career potential within a collaborative and commercially ambitious business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic pharmaceutical and life sciences accounts across the UK, EMEA, or global markets.
  • Build trusted, senior-level relationships across procurement, clinical operations, supply chain, and commercial leadership functions.
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion, cross-selling, and long-term revenue growth within existing client relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on retention, growth, and partnership development.
  • Lead commercial discussions, contract negotiations, and RFP/RFI processes for complex international opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal operational and technical teams to ensure exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Drive new business development activity within target pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, and clinical healthcare organisations.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and account reporting.
  • Represent the business at international conferences, networking events, and client meetings.

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped earning potential.
  • Opportunity to manage globally recognised pharmaceutical accounts.
  • High degree of autonomy and strategic ownership.
  • International scope with strong long-term progression opportunities.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture within a rapidly growing global business.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience managing and growing large strategic pharmaceutical or life sciences accounts within an international environment.
  • Demonstrated success delivering revenue growth within existing accounts while also developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong background within clinical healthcare logistics, clinical trial logistics, clinical supplies, CROs, or related life sciences services.
  • Experience working with complex global or EMEA pharmaceutical organisations and multi-stakeholder sales environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build credibility and influence at senior stakeholder level.
  • Track record of managing long sales cycles, strategic partnerships, and high-value commercial agreements.
  • Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, growth-focused commercial environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for client meetings, conferences, and strategic account engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute relationship-builder who thrives on managing strategic pharmaceutical partnerships, driving account growth, and delivering long-term client value.
