Biomedical Equipment Technician

Biomedical Equipment Technician Location: Bolton Our client provides a full range of clinical trial services and is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician, this role is ideal for someone with solid hands-on experience across a variety of medical equipment who is looking to broaden their technical scope. The role offers exposure to continuous improvement initiatives, direct client interaction, and opportunities to influence processes. Key Responsibilities Provide remote technical support and guidance to clients. Assist with servicing, maintenance, and calibration of medical equipment within the workshop. Take ownership of proposing improvements to technical and servicing procedures. Communicate medical device information, including updates to policies, guidelines, and regulations, to internal and external stakeholders. Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot malfunctioning devices. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Manage inventory of spare parts and development of maintenance schedules. What You Will Need Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with medical equipment. Confidence in acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams. Good physical fitness, as the role involves workshop-based manual duties. Desirable Experience Experience with any of the following equipment would be highly advantageous: Infusion systems (ambulatory, syringe, and volumetric infusion pumps) Patient monitoring equipment Diagnostic and ambulatory ECG/EKG systems, Holter monitors, and stress-test equipment Ophthalmic devices Centrifuges and refrigeration equipment Point-of-care (POC) devices Haematology analysers
