The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for a commercially minded UK qualified lawyer to become a key part of the business at an exciting stage in its journey. The successful individual will play a key role supporting a broad range of commercial and strategic legal matters across the organisation whilst helping shape legal processes, governance and best practice as the business continues to scale internationally. The role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, thinking commercially and operating as part of the wider business rather than purely as a legal function. There is significant scope for the role to grow over time as the business continues to evolve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Supporting complex client and supplier agreements across international operations
  • Advising on contractual risk allocation including indemnities, liability caps, payment terms and jurisdiction provisions
  • Supporting cross-border commercial matters across multiple jurisdictions
  • Working closely with stakeholders across the business internationally
  • Supporting legal process improvement, governance and best practice
  • Assisting with legal infrastructure, registers and internal frameworks
  • Supporting practical data protection processes and responsibilities across the business
  • Managing relationships with external counsel where required
  • Supporting broader strategic and corporate initiatives as the business grows

About You

  • UK qualified lawyer likely around 4–8 PQE
  • Strong commercial contracts background
  • Confident drafting and negotiating client and supplier agreements
  • Strong understanding of contractual risk and liability management
  • Commercially minded and pragmatic in approach
  • Comfortable influencing stakeholders and operating autonomously
  • International/cross-border exposure highly advantageous, particularly US-facing work
  • Collaborative and relationship-driven working style
  • Interested in helping shape legal processes and infrastructure within a growing business
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-paced international environment
  • Prior in-house experience helpful but not essential
