Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Director, Labor and Employee Relations, EMEA & APAC, the Labor & Employee Relations (LER) Business Partner is a specialist role within the Labor and Employee Relations function. The role has a regional EMEA focus and works closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide guidance, coaching, and strategic advisory support. It is part of the Global Labor & Employee Relations team, preferably located in Germany (or another EMEA country), and can be remote or hybrid, depending on location. The role involves occasional business travel within EMEA based on business needs.

Typical Day

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide guidance on employee and labor relations matters across multiple EMEA countries.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, balancing employee experience, business needs, and legal requirements.
  • Support social dialogue activities, including engagement with works councils and other employee representative bodies, in line with local regulations.
  • Prepare for and participate in formal consultation processes, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow‑up.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to HR partners and leaders on employee and labor relations topics.
  • Contribute to regional and global LER initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Stay informed on labor and employment law developments and share insights with internal stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Law, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Significant professional experience in employee and labor relations within a multinational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple EMEA jurisdictions and strong knowledge of European labor relations frameworks, including works council engagement.
  • Fluency in multiple languages: English, German, French, and/or Dutch.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, decentralized organizational structure.
