Overview
We are currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated and pro-active individual to join our Mould Repair Department as a Twilight Mould Engineer at our Knottingley site. Reporting to the Mould Shop Manager, the purpose of the role is to assist and support this busy Department which services our glass forming production area, through the repair, refurbishment, and supply of mould equipment, weighing in the range of 5kg to 45kg, to ensure all mould equipment and accompanying auxiliary parts are repaired and ready for production runs in accordance with production requirements.
Responsibilities
As Twilight Mould Engineer you will provide repair, refurbishment and supply of mould equipment for the glass manufacturing process and ensure that moulds and accompanying auxiliary parts are repaired and ready for production runs in line with production requirements.
Qualifications
- Fully apprentice-trained and possess a Level 2 NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations or equivalent; however, candidates who can demonstrate skills and knowledge of a mechanical engineering background will also be considered for the role.
- A good level of Maths and English, together with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiastic, committed, pro-active and flexible with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritise workload; able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Shift and hours
This is a twilight shift position, working 39 hours over 7 days. Shifts include: Monday to Friday 2.00pm–10.00pm; Saturday and Sunday 12.00pm–8.00pm.
