About the Role We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed individuals to work as Spray Line Technician within our Glass Decoration Department in Castleford. Reporting to the Decoration Chargehand, the role is responsible for the day to day running of an electrostatic spray coating line, ensuring the effective operation of the process to ensure maximum performance and quality standards. Responsibilities To ensure that the spray line team are always effectively deployed, ensuring workflow is maintained. To carry out machine start-up/shut down and oversee job changes as required by production plan. To ensure correct machine settings are implemented and runs are at operating at maximum efficiency, whilst maintaining quality standards at all times. To regularly carry out routine Quality Control tests on containers, to ensure they are in line with product specifications. To maintain accurate records of machine settings for each individual job run using recognised documentation and procedures. To complete process records effectively and within a timely manner throughout the shift. To carry out maintenance of spray line plant in accordance with agreed schedules. To oversee and complete various Company forms in relation to matters such as accident and absence reporting etc. Qualifications Ideally, candidates will have previous knowledge of working with glass containers, however, this is not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate. Previous knowledge of working in a continuous process manufacturing environment, preferably with knowledge of electrostatic coating application, would also be advantageous to this role. Required Skills Ideally applicants will possess a keen eye for detail, have the ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels, and possess a proactive and energetic approach to work as this is a hands-on role.
