We have three sites all based in West Yorkshire and are currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated and pro-active individual to join our Engineering Department as Production Maintenance Engineer at our Leeds site. Reporting to the Cold End Change Team Superintendent the main purpose of the role will be to provide on-going and continuous support to shift operations, ensuring that manufactured ware meets customer quality standards, through the accurate and prompt set up of line and inspection equipment.

Duties will include attending to and resolving equipment breakdowns in a timely manner, as well as the delivery of PPM schedules. With an average of three machine change overs per day you may also be required to support the day team in this area, as factory focus is ultimately to ensure optimum efficiency at all times.

Suitable candidates should be both enthusiastic and committed, and have a can-do, pro-active approach to work. The ability to work unsupervised to a high standard, work well within a small team and be able to prioritise their workload, as well use their own initiative, are essential behaviours and attitudes required for this role. In addition, an NVQ in an electrical discipline would be favourable, however, not essential.

The hours of work for this position are based around a 5-crew shift rota working 4 on and 4 off (12-hour days and night shifts), with 5 paid 18 day breaks off per year.

Successful candidates can benefit from the following:

  • Opportunity to develop new skills and develop a career in a successful multi-million-pound organisation.
  • Fantastic career progression opportunities for the right individuals.
  • Other benefits associated with a large successful Company such as pension scheme, death in service benefit for all employees regardless of being a pension member, access to a wide range of health and wellbeing support and services including 24/7 support helpline, virtual GP, second medical opinion, cancer care, and much more.
  • Generous holiday entitlement.
  • The site benefits from easy motorway access and provides free onsite parking.

This is an exciting time to join a successful team, make an impact and be a proud part of the future journey of the organisation.
