We are currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated and pro-active individual to join our Quality Control Department as a Site Quality Manager at our West Yorkshire site in Leeds. Reporting to the Quality Director, the role is responsible for managing and overseeing the Quality Control Department, covering all aspects of planning, people management, quality specification control, equipment control and reports, Capex project control and third-party contract manufacturer.

You will ensure that quality standards are set, and clearly defined quality methods are established and applied at all times to guarantee sustained quality integrity in accordance with ISO and BRC standards. You will also be responsible for implementing quality control into all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure products produced meet Company and customer requirements, as well as aligning business strategy with key customers.

Previous skills and knowledge of working within a manufacturing quality control environment, in addition to having supervisory experience, would be desirable, however, not essential. The ability to implement change and drive new initiatives, as well as develop and deliver processes to make improvements is essential to succeed in this role. Candidates will be expected to work with a high level of integrity and autonomy and, as such, they will require excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work on their own initiative and have a can-do attitude. They should be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills as the role will be customer facing and have a high level of IT literacy using Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

With responsibility for a team of employees, the role requires strong leadership skills, not only to develop the long-term capabilities of the Department, but to build, strengthen and maintain professional customer relationships.

This is a monthly paid staff position, working 35 hours per week, however, due to the nature of the role, there may be occasions when you will be required to work over and above your contracted hours and demonstrate a level of flexibility.
