We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed individuals to work as Production Line Operatives within our Finished Goods Product Department at our West Yorkshire site based in Knottingley. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the main purpose of this role is to visually inspect glass containers and ensure that packed ware meets all Company and customer specifications and requirements.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- To visually inspect containers, passing good ware and rejecting faulty ware at a viewing screen or whilst hand packing on the production line.
- To undertake the safe and effective use of automatic and semi-automatic handling equipment.
- To effectively communicate when ware fails to meet Company and customer specification and requirements.
Ideally, applicants will possess some understanding of glass container faults, however, this is not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidates. A keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels is also essential for this role.
A 5‑crew rotating shift pattern offering 12‑hour day and night shifts, with structured blocks of work followed by regular extended rest periods. This provides a predictable rota with built‑in recovery time while supporting a 24/7 operation.
