As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for prospecting into target accounts to generate awareness and interest in Veracode’s application security platform. You will regularly qualify marketing leads and conduct discovery conversations with prospects and customers to understand their current security posture and the drivers behind their interest.
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound sales requests received via web, email, and phone.
- Execute outbound prospecting to build pipeline for Field Sales Teams using a multithreaded outreach approach.
- Leverage prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other outreach platforms to engage multiple stakeholders within target accounts.
- Ensure efficient lead routing to appropriate sales teams.
- Review, contact, and qualify marketing-generated leads.
- Pass qualified opportunities to the inside sales team based on established rules of engagement.
- Generate new business opportunities via phone and digital outreach, from initial contact through to qualified opportunity stage.
- Collaborate with sales managers and sales enablement to maintain strong knowledge of Veracode’s products and value proposition.
- Partner with sales leadership and peers to refine messaging, targeting, and outbound strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates in Salesforce, ensuring all customer insights, activity, and engagement history are captured.
- Continuously develop sales skills, product knowledge, and market understanding.
Required Skills
- 0–1 years of work experience preferred.
- Ability to work in the London office 3 days per week.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in sales and business development.
