We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to provide services in the Property Management finance and accounting operations sector of our client. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with UK regulations, and effective management of property-related finances, including service charges, rent collections, and investment planning.

Accounting & Reporting

  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and HMRC requirements.
  • Manage reporting of service charges, ground rents, and property-related income/expenses.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models for property portfolios.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making and investment opportunities.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor cash flow across multiple property accounts.
  • Support implementation of strategies to optimize liquidity and working capital.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to UK property management regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Operational Support

  • Collaborate with property managers to ensure accurate billing and tenant account management.
  • Oversee rent collection processes and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Support capital expenditure planning and property maintenance budgets.
  • Supervise and mentor finance staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

The Person

  • CA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of finance experience, ideally within property management or real estate.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, property regulations, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in property management software (e.g., MRI, Yardi, Qube) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience.
  • Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in the use of packages like Xero, MYOB, Sage, and QB.
