We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work independently and is passionate about numbers to join our team for a client in the UK. This position will be based in Sri Lanka.

Responsibilities

  1. Preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
  2. Preparation of personal and SME tax returns.
  3. Record and reconcile payroll transactions and processing of payroll.
  4. Undertake bank reconciliations and end of month accounting journals.
  5. Reconcile balance sheet and P&L items with respective work papers.
  6. Collate and record source data information accurately in client accounting systems.
  7. Review and analyze financial data of client organizations.

Requirements

  1. At least 1 year of UK accounting and taxation experience is a must to apply for the position.
  2. Proficiency in working with IRIS Tax system and CCH Tax system is a definite Yes for this role.
  3. Part or fully qualified in CA/CIMA/ACCA or undergraduate/degree holder in commerce/business management and finance from a reputed university.
  4. Strong numeracy and reconciliation skills.
  5. Proficiency in the use of packages like Xero, MYOB, and QB.
  6. Proven ability to multitask and meet critical deadlines.
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  8. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Advanced Excel skills.
