We are working with a well-established organisation in Stamford who are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Manager to take ownership of payroll and pension activity across the business. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate pay, regulatory compliance and a high standard of service for employees.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the full payroll lifecycle, acting as the main point of contact for payroll and pension matters and ensuring all processes are delivered accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing monthly payroll processing from input through to payment and submission
- Ensuring payroll data is accurate, compliant and processed in line with statutory and contractual requirements
- Producing payroll journals, reconciliations and supporting finance reporting
- Overseeing pension scheme administration, including auto-enrolment activity and scheme reporting
- Acting as the primary contact for HMRC, pension providers and external auditors
- Providing guidance to the wider business on payroll and pension-related queries
- Supporting year-end processes including P11Ds and statutory returns
About You
- Demonstrable experience in a payroll-focused role with pension exposure
- Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance
- Comfortable working with payroll systems, reconciliations and reporting
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- CIPP qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous
