Veracious Talent Partners are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a growing business in Bourne to recruit a newly created Financial Controller.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans and play a key role in the continued development of its finance function.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll take ownership of the financial control environment while helping modernise and upscale the finance function to ensure it is well positioned to support the next phase of the company's growth.
This is a highly visible role, offering the opportunity to influence process improvements, strengthen financial governance and support strategic decision-making across the business.
The Role
As Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for ensuring robust financial controls, delivering high-quality reporting and driving continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.
Key responsibilities will include
- Leading the month-end and year-end close process.
- Producing accurate monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Maintaining a robust financial control environment and ensuring balance sheet integrity.
- Managing the statutory accounts process and coordinating the external audit.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Driving improvements across finance processes, systems and controls.
- Supporting the ongoing development and modernisation of the finance function.
- Leading and developing the finance team, embedding high standards and continuous improvement.
- Building strong relationships with operational and commercial stakeholders across the business.
About You
You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong technical accounting background and previous experience leading or developing finance teams.

Experience within manufacturing, engineering or another operational environment would be advantageous, although it isn’t essential.
