Veracious Talent Partners are supporting a growing, PE-backed organisation in Northampton with the recruitment of a Commercial Finance Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their career within commercial finance, joining an ambitious business where Finance plays an important role in supporting both operational and strategic decision-making.

Working as part of the FP&A function, you'll spend a large proportion of your time partnering with stakeholders across multiple departments, helping them understand performance and providing the financial insight needed to make informed decisions. You'll be encouraged to look beyond simply reporting what's happened. Whether it's understanding the drivers behind performance, challenging assumptions or modelling the potential impact of future decisions, you'll have the opportunity to become a genuine commercial partner to the wider business.

Key areas of the role will include:

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across different areas of the organisation
  • Supporting and challenging the business around financial and operational performance
  • Playing a key role in annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting
  • Building and developing financial models to support planning and commercial decisions
  • Identifying trends, risks and opportunities and translating these into useful commercial insight
  • Producing analysis around key areas of business performance
  • Supporting senior stakeholders with the financial assessment of projects and initiatives
  • Providing regular performance updates and presenting findings in a clear and commercially relevant way
  • Carrying out ad-hoc analysis and deep dives as the business continues to evolve

The role would suit someone who is part-qualified, nearly qualified or recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with experience gained within FP&A, commercial finance, management accounting or a similarly analytical role. You'll need to be comfortable working with data and financial models, but equally important will be your ability to communicate. The business is looking for someone who enjoys engaging with stakeholders, asks the right questions and can turn financial information into something meaningful for people outside of Finance.

This is also a business with a real appetite for developing its people. You'll be joining a growing organisation where there is plenty of opportunity to broaden your exposure, work with senior stakeholders and continue developing your commercial finance skillset.
