We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Waiting Staff to join our vibrant team in a fast‑paced Full‑Service Hotel environment. As Waiting Staff, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that our guests have a memorable festive experience. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, providing a warm welcome and information about the event and running order.
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way.
- Follow the 5 / 10 Rule for all guest encounters.
- Take accurate drink orders using the Zonal POS system.
- Reconcile all payments to the penny, and exercise excellent cash handling skills.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring that all items are presented beautifully and meet specification.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to dish specifications and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
- Upsell larger and premium line beverages to enhance the guest experience while maximising revenue opportunities.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, function rooms and service stations throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for resolution to ensure satisfaction and elevating to leadership team where required.
Experience and skills:
