The 4-star Mercure Manchester Norton Grange Hotel and Spa is set in tranquil countryside and its own landscaped grounds. Situated 8 miles from the City Centre, this Manchester hotel has 81 contemporary guest rooms, each with wireless internet and satellite TV. The dining options include the elegant newly refurbished Pickwick Bar and Restaurant. The hotel has a spa facility, with an indoor heated pool, fitness room and massage treatments. The function rooms welcome up to 200 guests.

Main Duties:

  • To have full knowledge of all fire precautions, Health & Safety and First Aid procedures.
  • To assist with the training and development of Food & Beverage staff.
  • To assist with the smooth running of the bar when necessary.
  • To promote food and liquor sales within the Hotel.
  • To set high standards of food service.
  • To ensure that the standard of service is maintained and improved if necessary.
  • To assist in the recruitment and placement of employees in the Food & Beverage Departments.
  • To report and act upon any maintenance faults within the Hotel.
  • To deal with guests’ complaints and follow up.
  • To assist other members of Management in carrying out their tasks.
  • To deputise in the absence of the F&B Manager.
  • To adhere to COSHH and Health and Safety Regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • To ensure all Food & Beverage staff attend statutory training.
  • To continually support and develop staff within the Food & Beverage Department.
  • To assist Heads of Department to carry out Appraisals for their team.
  • To attend all training sessions as arranged by your Departmental Head or Personnel Department.
  • To comply with Food Hygiene Regulations and ensure that the departments are clean and hygienic to enable the Hotel to achieve a high result in Hygiene Inspections.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: 10 hour shift, 12 hour shift, 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate: Rochdale OL11 2XZ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
