Overview of the Role

At Veovo, we help airports, transport hubs and major venues understand how people move through their environments, enabling smarter operational decisions and better passenger experiences.

As a

Solution Lead , you'll be the crucial link between our customers, project managers and implementation teams.

You'll work with customers to understand their operational challenges, translate their requirements into scalable solutions, and ensure successful delivery of Veovo's passenger predictability and flow management technology.

This is a highly visible and varied role that combines customer engagement, data-driven problem solving, technical consultancy and project delivery.

You'll help organisations optimise passenger flow, predict congestion, improve queue performance and make better use of real-time operational data.

No two days are the same.

One day you may be running a customer workshop, the next reviewing passenger-flow data, advising on sensor placement, or helping an implementation team solve a complex operational challenge.

  • Your Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary technical partner to Project Managers, helping define scope, identify risks, and ensure successful delivery of customer projects.
  • Lead discovery workshops and work closely with customers to understand operational requirements, passenger flow challenges and business objectives.
  • Translate customer needs into clear technical requirements and implementation plans for delivery teams.
  • Design and validate passenger flow and data collection solutions that deliver measurable operational value.
  • Collaborate with implementation consultants, data specialists and project teams to ensure solutions are deployed successfully and meet customer expectations.
  • Serve as the key technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle for both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the design of data-driven solutions using operational, passenger and queueing datasets.
  • Advise on hardware deployments, including camera and Li DAR placement, to ensure effective coverage and data collection.
  • Promote best practices, documentation standards and knowledge sharing across the wider delivery organisation.
  • Conduct solution reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of Veovo's implementation methodology.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in solution delivery, implementation consulting, or technical project delivery within software, analytics, or operational technology environments.
  • Strong data literacy, with the ability to interpret datasets and explain insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into practical technical solutions.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and customer-facing skills.
  • Familiarity with SQL, databases, or data-driven systems.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience with passenger flow, queue management, or operational analytics.
  • Background in aviation, transport, rail, cruise, attractions, or other high-volume operational environments.
  • Experience working with time-series/time-scaled datasets.
  • Exposure to Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with cameras, Li DAR, sensor technologies, or computer vision solutions.
  • Consulting, professional services, or implementation consulting experience.
  • What We Can Offer You
  • Competitive salary
  • Private medical insurance
  • Life and income protection
  • 24-days annual leave
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Tailored learning and development opportunities
  • Flexible working hours and remote-work opportunities

How to prepare for a job interview at Veovo group

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Veovo group uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
