What you'll be doing
- Assist with carrying out inspections, services and repairs on both Waste and Clean water assets across the Southern Region.
- Undertake standby cover and overtime as required as part of a rota, typically 1 week in 4 for which additional payment will be made.
- You may also be required to work at other locations within the Southern Region.
- Assist with completing test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents.
- Working alongside key stakeholders and customers teams, so good communication skills are essential.
- Help to ensure energy efficient operation of assets and minimise downtime and potential pollution risks
- Help reduce raw material usage on assets by completing thorough service and maintenance tasks using first time fixes
- Look to develop and deliver innovation and opportunities to maximise efficiency within the operational teams.
What we’re looking for
- Full UK Driving License
- Experience of plant operations
- NVQ or a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance at Level 2
- Must be able to pass a Security Clearance in line with the Ministry of Defence vetting as well as a Police CRB background screening assessment
