Maintenance Operative
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 0800-1630
Location: Norwood, South Yorkshire, S21 2DR

- What you'll be doing;
- Perform proactive and reactive mechanical maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of equipment
- Follow all site safety rules and wear appropriate PPE for each task
- Maintain regular communication with the operational team
- Adjust machinery and equipment settings to maintain plant performance
- Investigate plant failures, determine root causes, and recommend cost-effective recovery plans
- Report health, safety, and environmental incidents
- Carry out PPMs and provide feedback
- Maintain service records and key performance indicators
- Monitor and supervise contractors
- Maintain a tidy work environment
- Stop any unsafe tasks or activities
What we're looking for;
Essential
- Recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical engineering, O Technical qualifications - City & Guilds/NVQ (or equivalent)
- Experienced in fault finding and maintaining predominantly mechanical (and possibly electrical) processing equipment
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills

- Previous work within waste treatment or chemical processing industry
