What you'll be doing; To support the delivery of the Street's and Parks cleansing and maintenance services. Ensuring the delivery of customer focused high quality services in line with the Council's expectations To Drive a vehicle up to 7.5 tonnes and to operate a mechanical broom although training will be given to the individual. To work alone or as part of a team To ensure that the tasks are completed to schedule, and report any discrepancies immediately to your Foreman or Manager At the start of each shift and prior to leaving the depot, check your equipment to ensure it is in good condition and exchange damaged or worn-out items. Empty litterbins found within your beat, ensuring that the liners are replaced properly and bins locked back up. To ensure that all accidents that occur during the shift are reported fully to your Foreman/Manager, to the Police if appropriate and that accident reports are completed before you leave work. To maintain a courteous and professional relationship with members of the public, client staff and colleagues. To comply with Health and Safety legislation, in particular adherence to relevant company Codes of Practices and Policies relating to safe working procedures at all times. Report locations of any fly-tipping, graffiti, fly-posting, or damaged/missing litter bins to your Foreman. When needed undertake the necessary daily checks as per the Drivers/Operator handbook and comply with all traffic laws and legislation with relation to your duties including the security and weight of loads What we're looking for; Essential: CPC Qualification is essential Valid driving licence Previous experience in a similar role.
