What will you be doing?
- Remove non-compostable materials (plastics, metals, glass) from incoming organic waste
- Patrol windrow areas to collect wind-blown litter and debris
- Inspect and clear perimeter fencing of trapped litter
- Sort contaminated materials from compost feedstock before processing
- Maintain cleanliness of access roads and pathways throughout the site
- Empty and maintain litter bins and waste collection points
- Remove foreign objects from finished compost screening areas
- Monitor drainage channels and remove blockages caused by debris
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify litter hotspots
- Assist with manual sorting at the tipping area or reception point
- Use hand tools (litter pickers, rakes, shovels) to collect waste materials
- Segregate collected materials into appropriate waste streams for disposal or recycling
- Complete daily load inspections of incoming material

- Previous experience within a similar operations manual handling environment
- Good working health & safety knowledge
- Right to work in the UK
