Salary - £14.27ph plus Veolia Benefits

Hours - 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm (3.30pm finish on a Friday)

Overtime where available at x1.5 on Saturday, x2 on Sunday

Location - Blackburn, Lancashire, BB2 7LF - this site manufactures several different aircraft

What Will You Be Doing:

  • Working as a team to support off-site collection teams (Commercial, Hazardous, Metal Waste) by escorting them on and off sites and in the case of Hazardous waste collection assist by loading the Curtain Side HGV
  • Undertake the weighing of waste metal items and operate the weighbridge
  • Collecting dry hazardous waste bins on site and emptying them into the in-drum compactor
  • Recycling bins collected and taken to the yard to be emptied and segregated and the recyclates being placed in the correct collection containers and or baled utilising on-site baler. Normally undertaken on a site-specific tail lift vehicle.
  • Collecting, storing and processing non-routine waste
  • Recycling yard area to be maintained at a high level of cleanliness
  • Maintain paperwork and records of all collections from each location
  • Assist with large scale clearances

What Are We Looking For:

  • Full Clean Driving Licence
  • FLT licence
  • Similar operational manual handling experience
  • This position is subject to satisfactory security clearance
