Job Description

Multiskilled Maintenance Technician – Water Treatment Specialist- Peterborough

Salary from Β£33k up to Β£40k depending on experience, plus overtime available

At Veolia, we\’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee our large IX water treatment plant and mobile units. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our water treatment operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing maintenance of Ion Exchange water treatment plants
  • Lead and execute maintenance projects
  • Perform refurbishment and fabrication of equipment, including PVC and stainless-steel pipework
  • Work independently and collaboratively with a team of qualified professionals
  • Handle 415V equipment safely and effectively
  • Conduct fault-finding, installation, and maintenance of instrumentation systems
  • Perform calibrations and loop checking of DCS/control systems
  • Ensure electrical systems comply with safety regulations
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols, including risk assessments
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN/KAIZEN)
  • Qualifications

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • NVQ3 in electrical-based units
  • City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations or equivalent
  • Experience in industrial electrical work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong background in EHS and quality standards
  • Fabrication and welding experience, particularly with PVC and stainless-steel
  • Preferred:

  • City and Guilds 2391 – Electrical testing and inspection
  • Experience in the water treatment industry
