Salary: up to £28,500 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Mon - Fri

What you'll be doing:

  • Assist maintenance technicians with general maintenance tasks, including job set-up, lifting, equipment preparation and basic mechanical work.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards across the site, including the effluent plant grounds, vegetation, workshop and other operational areas.
  • Operate MEWPs and forklifts to support maintenance activities, following appropriate training and safety procedures (training will be provided if required).
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, provide updates on tasks and promptly report any safety concerns or hazards.
  • Work proactively and safely in an industrial environment, using initiative to support site improvements and maintain high health and safety standards.

What we're looking for:

  • Basic mechanical experience, with a mechanical qualification desirable.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety practices, with relevant safety qualifications desirable.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to report hazards and discuss tasks clearly.
  • Experience in general housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness in an industrial environment.
  • MEWP/forklift, manual handling or other relevant operating experience; training can be provided.
