What you'll be doing:
- As the Graduate Carbon Analyst, you will support the business in understanding and monitoring GHG emissions data from operational activities.
- Working under the guidance of senior team members, you will develop your skills in carbon and energy data management, analysis, and reporting whilst contributing to the Group's net-zero ambitions.
- Carbon Data Support: Assist in collecting, validating, and analysing data to calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in accordance with recognised standards.
- Reporting Assistance: Support the delivery of accurate carbon and energy reporting in line with corporate disclosure requirements.
- Policy and Landscape Research: Support research into the evolving carbon and energy policy landscape, monitoring changes in emissions disclosure requirements, regulatory frameworks, and emerging best practices.
- Stakeholder Support: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate data collection and support sustainability initiatives.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required to support the team and wider business objectives.
What we're looking for:
- Degree-level qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related numeric discipline (to be achieved by September 2026)
- Willingness to travel to training locations and potentially (if in a rotational role) relocate for role requirements
- Commitment to continuous learning and development
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and eagerness to learn SQL and Power BI
- Genuine interest in sustainability, climate change, and environmental data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Desirable:
- Basic understanding of carbon accounting or environmental management principles
- Experience with data analysis tools or programming languages (SQL, Python, R)
