What you\’ll be doing;
- Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of plant and apparatus including overhead cranes, rotating equipment, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatic\’s, etc. With a good understanding of 415 motors, variable speed drives & electrical switchgear.
- Report, diagnose and remedy plant defects in a timely professional manner.
- Propose and develop modifications/improvements to plant/apparatus as appropriate.
- Liaise with other departments.
- Supervise Company and Contractor staff as appropriate.
- Maintain all work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
- Carry out duties associated with company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures, including audits.
- Undertake other duties within the scope and spirit of the job as instructed by Management.
What we\’re looking for;
- You will be a time served Maintenance Technician with a recognised Mechanical biased Apprenticeship, who possess detailed knowledge of all aspects of maintenance techniques.
- Previous experience gained in a continuous process industry and electrical power generation is required to be successful in this position. Manual handling knowledge is required
- Possess the ability to communicate with staff at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Available to be contacted, and attend site, outside of normal hours if required.
- Ideally have knowledge of CMMS systems, ideally \’HxGN\’.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Flexible, with a creative approach to problem-solving
