What you'll be doing:
- Assess, collect, and safely transport waste materials from customer sites, adhering to regulations and company procedures.
- Package, label, and document waste materials accurately, ensuring swift processing of paperwork.
- Handle hazardous materials, including pumping, decanting, and re-drumming of rusty or leaking containers.
- Conduct waste sampling and spillage clearance as required.
- Provide technical knowledge and maintain good customer relations.
- Assist in transfer station operations and supervise dangerous loads when needed.
- Maintain adequate stock levels of routine supplies and company property.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and COSHH regulations.
What we're looking for:
- HNC / Degree level Chemistry or other related field
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Sound Knowledge of Waste Legislation
- High Level of Literacy and Numeracy
- Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
