We are seeking a Business Development Manager to establish and grow our advisory and consultancy offering within our Energy Business. The Business Development Manager will translate Veolia's technical expertise into actionable strategies for clients, while building a pipeline of designed opportunities that can ultimately be delivered as Capital projects. This position would suit someone who has recently graduated within this industry.

What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the business development of energy and carbon consultancy services, including heat decarbonisation plans, energy audits, feasibility studies, investment-grade proposals, and project development agreements.
- Collaborate with public and private sector clients to develop net-zero pathways, ensuring solutions are technically robust, commercially viable, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Develop a structured pipeline of consultancy engagements that lead into design and build projects, maximising conversion into long-term delivery.
- Oversee the preparation of high-quality technical and commercial reports that influence customer board-level decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across target sectors.
- Act as subject matter expert, representing Veolia at industry events and supporting our position as a market leader in decarbonisation consultancy.
- Ensure we are aligned with the correct Frameworks to offer our services.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in energy consultancy, engineering, or advisory roles or recently graduated within these fields.
- Proven track record delivering decarbonisation strategies, heat decarbonisation plans, or energy masterplans.
- Strong understanding of low-carbon technologies, including heat pumps, solar PV, energy storage, and demand reduction measures.
- Commercial and financial modelling expertise with the ability to articulate investment cases.
- Strategic business development skills with the ability to convert consultancy into capital project opportunities.
- Excellent client engagement, relationship management and influencing skills at a senior level.
