Salary: £22,048 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Hollingdean MRF, Hollingdean Lane, Brighton, BN1 7BB

Programme Duration: 42 months

Candidate shortlisting will take place on w/c 7th July 2025 and assessment days will take place between w/c 21st July 2025.

During this programme, we’ll help you develop your practical and behavioural skills and support you in gaining the technical and professional knowledge required for you to succeed in your career. You’ll also gain a qualification in Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Certification.

What you’ll be doing:

  • To carry out routine inspections and testing of all site based equipment and systems as detailed in the planned preventative maintenance schedule
  • To identify any remedial works required due to failure or poor performance of equipment or systems and record these for inclusion in the planned preventative maintenance schedule
  • To complete all documentation associated with the above tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  • To respond quickly and efficiently to breakdowns of equipment and systems by providing emergency repair service as necessary
  • To undertake specialist repairs as requested
  • To complete any required training to ensure that you have the appropriate skills and knowledge

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4/C (or equivalent) achieved or predicted, including Maths, English & preferably Science
  • Ability to follow health and safety policies and procedures and willing to challenge unsafe behaviour
  • Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with others
