Job Description

Global Category Leader – Flow, E&I

In this REMOTE role, you must be based in EUROPE.

What is the purpose of the role?

The Global Category Leader – Flow E&I will report to the Global Category Management Team Leader. You will manage approximately an ~$80M spend portfolio and will be responsible for developing, validating, and implementing the global procurement strategy for sub-categories within the portfolio.

You will collaborate with Procurement Project/Product Leaders, Regional Category Leaders, Technology, and Supply Chain Leaders.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Define a global category strategy that drives continuous improvement and benefits the business
• Develop and manage preferred supplier networks and strategic suppliers
• Define contracting strategies and lead supplier negotiations
• Drive cash improvements across categories
• Mitigate risks by building a flexible supply chain and ensuring supply continuity
• Develop best-cost country strategies
• Manage supplier relationships
• Report market trends and category performance to leadership
• Maintain an understanding of direct material categories and water treatment technologies
• Stay informed about market trends and key suppliers in relevant categories
• Possess knowledge of supply bases for valves, pipes & fittings, instruments, analyzers, RO pressure vessels
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with stakeholders and senior management

Qualifications

What skills and background are required?

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in category/supplier management, purchasing, engineering, or project management
• Experience in procurement of flow, electrical, and instrumentation items
• Ability to travel approximately 30% annually
