What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure cost-effective management of the Sheffield Contract while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels and meeting set targets
- Oversee health and safety compliance, including managing policies, procedures, investigations, and training for all employees
- Manage day-to-day fleet operations, including route planning, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with 'O' licence requirements
- Lead and manage a large workforce in a unionised environment, handling recruitment, discipline, grievances, and absence management
- Monitor and manage contract budget, costs, and KPIs through regular reviews and reporting
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, regulatory bodies (HSE, DVSA, Traffic Commissioner, Environment Agency), and attend meetings as the point of contact
What we’re looking for:
- Leadership abilities with experience managing teams and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders
- Health & Safety knowledge with NEBOSH qualification (desirable)
- Transport management knowledge with CPC in National Road Haulage (desirable)
