Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £27,000.00 per annum plus car cash allowance and Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: based at Veolia, 8th Floor, 210 Pentonville Road, London, N1 9JY, with travel as required

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting in the preparation of cost reports, documentation and project updates to support accurate decision-making
• Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations, clarify costs and track project progress
• Supporting the project team by providing accurate and timely cost data and measurements
• Assisting in ensuring all project activities comply with relevant environmental standards and regulations
• Communicating regularly with internal teams and external contacts via email, phone, meetings and site visits
• Supporting senior staff with a variety of commercial and administrative tasks across multiple sites

What we’re looking for:

• A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related construction discipline
• Proficiency in IT, including Google and Microsoft packages
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage their own workload effectively
• A collaborative approach with the ability to work well as part of a team
• Previous exposure to work placements, internships or construction-related projects would be advantageous
