What will you be doing
- Plan and deliver day to day operations (plant availability, staffing levels, resources, maintenance tasks)
- Carry out site inspections and monitoring for VMR and permit compliance
- Follow Fire watch / heat monitoring procedures
- Ensure material inputs and outputs meet quality standards
- Ensure all outgoing loads have correct paperwork in place (Annex 7’s, TransFrontierShipment etc.)
- Manage waste flows / volumes / transport booking
- Feedback on close calls / expect respect reports
- Reporting, managing and closing out events
- Stop the Job empowerment and report any safety issues
- Supervise and operate the Front Loading Shovel and 360-degree Excavator to transport waste safely competently on completion of relevant training
- Routine maintenance and cleaning of mobile plant and equipment, including oils and water checks and reporting defects.
- Liaise with site personnel, contractors, tipping authorities and members of the haulage department
- To ensure that outgoing weights of material are maximised
- Control vehicle movements
- Supervise and operate the weighbridge
What are we looking for
- Previous experience within a similar operational environment
- Mobile Plant licence/s - loading shovel or 360 excavator
- Full UK driving licence-
