Responsibilities
- Operate plant equipment involved in handling, sorting and transferring of waste.
- Ensure the yard area is kept clean and tidy.
- Marshall vehicle movement around the site at busy times.
- Assist the Site Supervisor in day‑to‑day running of site operations.
Key Requirements
- Loading shovel and/or 360 Grab Licence.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Follow instructions, policies and procedures.
Desirable
- Good communication skills.
- Reversing assistant experience.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £31,367.74 per annum plus Veolia benefits (potential pay increase following probation period and experience).
- Hours: 48 hours per week Monday – Friday between 7 am and 5 pm (occasional Saturday and Bank Holiday overtime).
- Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear, NE38 8QU.
