Maintain site systems operability and compliance

Maximize revenue from landfill gas management

Conduct regular environmental sampling (gas, water, leachate) as per regulations

Establish and follow schedules for environmental monitoring and infrastructure maintenance

Perform gas well field balancing and monitor gas flare operation

Check and maintain leachate wells, addressing issues as needed

Carry out core maintenance of leachate and gas infrastructure

Install and service compressors, pneumatic pumps, and other equipment

Perform minor electrical work, including problem identification and isolation

Conduct well remediation, fusion welding of pipework, and general equipment maintenance and auditing
What we’re looking for;

Conduct environmental monitoring, including sampling of groundwater, surface waters, and landfill leachate.

Measure and record water levels and landfill gas concentrations.

Report results and follow-up actions to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Perform field-based work, visiting sites in the North and Midlands of England.

Comply with company health and safety requirements and contribute to improving safety performance.

Carry out gas field balancing and input collected data into monitoring databases.

Support maintenance of site environmental management plans for closed landfills.

Provide advice on permit or trigger level breaches related to landfill gas, water quality, and water levels.

Demonstrate good time management skills, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.

Possess computer literacy, experience with data collection and reporting, and effective communication skills with various stakeholders.
