The predicted salary is between 38250 - 46750 £ per year.
You will be responsible for all EICA (Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation) aspects on water treatment projects.
This includes low voltage switchgear & motor control centres, electrical installation, software control systems, operator interfaces and process instrumentation.
Projects are typically within municipal and industrial water industry in the UK.
- Technical aspects for procurement of MCC, cabling, systems integration, process instrumentation, and electrical equipment
- Produce load & instrument schedules, equipment specifications
- Develop software user requirements specifications (URS) following process design consultation
- Review sub-contractor drawings and specifications against client & VWT specifications
- Conduct detailed technical bid evaluations of quotations
- Conduct FATs for switchboard, MCC and PLC/HMI software
- Conduct inspections & tests for electrical equipment
- Responsible for EICA design aspects of installation & commissioning
- Visit sites for client meetings and occasional installation supervision
- Provide assistance to tendering department in all EICA aspects
- Report internally on EICA aspects against budget and programme
- Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in line with QA procedures
- Degree in technical/engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering preferred) or extensive practical experience
- Experience of similar role in UK water industry
- Application of BS7671 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
- Strong communication skills for interfacing with colleagues, suppliers, project managers, and customers
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google)
- Flexible working approach to deal with potential problems
- Organisational skills for prioritising tasks
- Health & safety awareness

- Knowledge of cable sizing software
- Knowledge of PLC programming software
- Experience of bus communications (e. g., Profibus, Ethernet TCP/IP)
