A fabulous new Part Time Payroll Specialist position in a growing manufacturing business near Camberley. This role is contracted for 65 hours per month, and flexibility will be needed as most of the hours will be worked around the payroll cycle. Core hours are 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday with some flex to meet deadlines as needed. The role sits within the HR function and will support the Payroll Manager in all payroll-related functions, including reconciliations, statutory reporting, and pension contributions.

The role will involve:

  • Assisting in processing payroll for multiple UK entities, currently around 500 employees.
  • Processing payroll variations such as sick pay, unpaid leave, family leave pay, and other adjustments.
  • Preparing and reviewing reconciliation reports.
  • Assisting in preparing and submitting RTI returns to HMRC within deadlines.
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly pension reconciliations and submission of pension contributions.
  • Assisting with auto-enrolment assessments, ensuring compliance with pension legislation.
  • Processing payroll year-end submissions, including P11D and P60 documentation.
  • Responding to payroll queries from employees and escalating complex issues to the Payroll Manager as needed.

We’re looking for:

  • Up-to-date payroll experience running multiple payrolls each month.
  • Experience of using an interfaced/integrated HR and Payroll system and working closely with an HR team.
  • Experience of completing manual calculations for statutory payments.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to manage queries effectively.
  • Flexibility during peak processing times.
  • CIPP or similar qualification would be ideal.
