Expeditor/Assistant Buyer
Near Camberley, Surrey – Monday to Friday
An expanding engineering and manufacturing business is looking for an Expeditor/Assistant Buyer to join its Materials and Purchasing team.
This varied role combines supplier expediting with day-to-day purchasing, helping ensure materials and components are available to meet production requirements. You’ll build strong relationships with suppliers, monitor purchase orders and delivery schedules, resolve potential delays and work closely with the Purchasing, Planning and Production teams. The role offers the opportunity to represent Purchasing in the weekly Sales/Production meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident communicating with suppliers. Good Excel skills are needed, along with experience using an MRP system.
The role also offers the opportunity to develop your purchasing career if desired, with progression through CIPS qualifications supported.
